The Writing Room is of the 17th Century Charles II period of English history.  The writing desks were manufactured especially for the room, and the chairs have particularly long seats to accommodate the comfort of taller men.  Among the unique furnishings on display in the room is a 16th Century Italian hardwood cabinet, hand-carved and hand-tooled.  The marble table in the center of the room was originally an ornamental fountain in the first Scottish Rite Temple in Guthrie, which memorialized the class of May, 1907.  Among the names etched in the marble base pillar is Mark Sexson, Past Grand Master of Masons in Oklahoma, who is best known for authoring the ritual for the International Order of Rainbow for Girls.  The stained glass windows depict some Past Sovereign Grand Commanders and other administrative officers of the Supreme Council--the corporate head of the Scottish Rite.
